Young Gemynds International School

Syllabus and Our Approach Towards To It

Since our school is following the American & Cambridge syllabuses, the same approaches are applied here. We follow the method of reinforcement through repeated drilling. Our course provides sufficient time for children to develop and grow independently. We believe that the basic concepts of the child should be clear and firm. In the pre- primary section reading is taught through phonics, word recognition and use of flash cards. Their skills are developed by keeping them engaged in physical activities like clay – modelling, building blocks, hula–hoops etc. Mathematical skills are also developed in these grades through drills and conceptual activities.

Language, art lessons, handwriting, spellings, grammar, compositions are emphasized upon in the younger grades. During the middle elementary years history and geography are introduced with the focus on classical period of western civilization. Our course also reinforces creative writing informative research and English grammar to enhance their oral and written communication proficiency. Reading material for this level is chosen for its enduring literary and value based quality. Finally, science, art, and music courses reveal to the children with an ever- broadening view of their surrounding world.

An added attraction for the Young Gemynds Group of Schools is a well- mothered nursery where the utmost care is taken to nurture little babies. From here the little feet start their journey under the expertise of the ever loving and competent teachers.

The Young Gemynds stalwarts, thus, steadily move ahead well equipped, in depth with knowledge and create ripples in every task assigned to them.
