1. Is Portuguese compulsory for students?

Yes, Portuguese is compulsory for the students from Standard III to Standard VIII.


2. When is computer studies included in the curriculum?

Computer Studies commence from Std.IV .


3. Do students need to carry their own sports kits?

Yes, the students need to carry their own sports kit, however, certain sports gear will be provided by the school.


4. Is medical assistance provided to the students in case of emergency?

Free medical assistance is provided to the students after the admission process is completed .First aid treatment is provided to the student in the school campus, in case of a small injury. For major injuries the student is shifted to Clinica 222 and the parents are intimidated immediately.


5. When and how are children allowed to leave the campus?

One of the unique features of Young Gemynds School is that the child is not permitted to leave the campus, unless he / she is escorted by the respective teacher and handed over to the parent or the person notified.


6. Can children order extra food during meals?

Yes, Children can order extra food items available in the school canteen like freshly prepared sandwiches (butter, jam, cheese, egg) polony, hot dog, chips, fresh juices, pop-corn, yoghurt etc.


7. Can a student withdraw from the school?

Parents who wish to withdraw their children at the end of an academic year must notify the school, in writing, before the end of October. Three months advance notice is required for withdrawal of any child during the year .Incase of failure to do so, two months fees will be charged by the school, before issuing the leaving certificate.


8. Do parents need to provide uniforms?

Yes, the Students must report to school in full school uniform. v Boys – White Shirt, Gray trousers, black shoes and white socks. v Girls – White Shirt, Gray Pinafore, black shoes and white socks. v However, logos, ties, and sport shirts will be provided by the school on payment.


9. When do we pay fees?

All the fees are payable by the first week of every month.Incase of delay in payment, a penalty of 10% will be charged. 


10. Can fees be paid in cash?

Yes, however, we also accept cheques. Apart from Meticais, payments can also be made in Dollar, Rand, and Euro.
